The VP of HR at FST Technical will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s talent strategy to align with business goals and foster a culture of excellence. This leader will focus on talent management as the cornerstone of their responsibilities, driving workforce planning, development, and retention strategies that enable the organization to stay ahead in a competitive market.
As a key member of the executive team, the VP of HR will oversee HR functions, including Succession Planning, Talent Acquisition, Leadership Development, Employee Relations, Benefits, Safety, and Compliance. This hands-on, entrepreneurial role requires someone who can think strategically while executing effectively, assess and streamline existing processes, and bring innovative solutions to talent challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
• Talent Strategy & Development:
Collaborate with executive leadership to define and execute long-term talent strategies that align with business objectives, focusing on attracting, developing, and retaining top talent.
• Executive Leadership Collaboration:
Partner with the executive team to provide strategic insights, ensuring HR is central to business planning and decision-making.
• Organizational Design:
Lead efforts to optimize the company’s organizational structure, ensuring clear pathways for career growth and team development.
• Compensation & Benefits:
Research, develop, and implement competitive compensation, benefits, and performance incentive programs tailored to attract and retain high-performing employees.
• Employee Engagement & Retention:
Design and implement engagement strategies to improve retention, aligning programs with the company’s mission and values.
• Global Management & M&A Integration:
Oversee global HR strategies, including engagement, workforce planning, and cross-border compliance. Act as a key member of due diligence and integration processes during acquisitions.
• Metrics & Insights:
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for HR functions. Use data-driven insights to measure success and guide decisions, ensuring HR initiatives remain competitive and impactful.
• HR Processes & Systems:
Drive the design and implementation of efficient HR systems and standards that comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Leadership Development:
Provide coaching and mentorship to leaders across the organization to enhance their effectiveness and build leadership depth.
Key Qualifications:
• 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with a proven track record in talent management, succession planning, and organizational development.
• Strong understanding of global HR practices and experience supporting international teams.
• Demonstrated success in coaching and advising executives, enabling effective leadership across diverse functions.
• Proven ability to use data and critical evaluation skills to drive informed decisions and solve complex talent challenges.
• Expertise in planning and executing HR strategies that support business objectives and growth.
• Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Exceptional communication and relationship management skills, capable of influencing at all levels of the organization.
• Experience in M&A due diligence and integration processes is a plus.
